Stead Elementary School rebuild project

  • Washoe County School District continues the 2023 Facility Modernization Plan (FMP) work in North Valleys community.

Stead Elementary School was built in the 1950s and was identified in the 2023 FMP to be rebuilt due to the aging infrastructure and overcrowding. On November 12, 2024, the BOT approved and awarded this construction project to Clark/Sullivan Construction for $54,254,370. The replacement school will be built on the nearby Silver Dollar Lane property which is owned by WCSD.
