1000000000$Amount, in dollars, invested in new schools, repairs, renovations and expansions in WCSD since 2016! That year, Washoe County voters passed a ballot initiative to raise the local sales tax to help build and modernize our school district. Since then, seven new schools have been built, two have been rebuilt and two more have seen major expansion projects completed. The increased capital funding has helped WCSD with several initiatives, including the reduction of overcrowding, updated safety features and increased energy efficiency.
