  • Mission

    The mission of Counseling Services is to provide support, referrals, resources, and interventions to ensure that all students in Washoe County School District remain on the pathway to graduation, college and highly-skilled career ready.


    Major Functions

    Counseling Services trains, supports, and provides leadership to the district’s K-12 school counselors.  Counseling works with educational partners and stakeholders to increase resources and options to provide academic and other opportunities for students.
    Counseling Services also provides direct service to families and schools, assists with resources and ensures supports.
