    All courses offered by Extended Studies are only available to students currently enrolled full time in a Washoe County School District school.

Course/Program Description
Community Service Students may earn a ½ elective credit by submitting evidence of 60 hours of community service
Credit by Exam (CBE) Credit by Exam gives WCSD high school students the opportunity to demonstrate proficiency in a particular subject. Subject categories include classes in Math, Social Studies, Science, Computer Literacy, and World Languages
Grad Boost Online Grad Boost Online classes will focus on EOC remediation to Level 1 students to ensure they have the best opportunity to pass EOC exams
Grad Point An option for middle school credit recovery
Homeschool Registration An option for parents who wish to educate their children at home.
Job Experience & Training Students 16 years of age and older and who are receiving a paycheck from their employer may earn ½ elective credit by participating in Job Experience & Training. Students must submit paycheck stubs totaling 60 hours and a resume within the semester
Physical Education (PE) Students may earn a ½ PE credit per semester by taking group classes at an approved fitness facility. Students must participate in 60 hours of scheduled group classes taught by a certified instructor (video classes are not accepted) within the semester to earn credit. Students must complete a final project at the conclusion of the semester
Supervised Curriculum Physical Education (SCPE) Students may earn a ½ PE credit per semester by participating in an approved pre-professional/ competitive sport
Travel Study Students may earn a ½ elective credit by submitting evidence of 60 hours of educational travel
HS Summer Graduation Seniors completing their graduation requirements during the summer are eligible to participate in the Summer graduation ceremony.
