• What is JROTC?

JROTC is a life skills program that provides classroom learning, physical and mentally challenging team competitions and fun experiential learning activities to prepare students for success during high school and after graduation = for a lifetime.

Instructors are retired senior military leaders with a lifetime of experience to share with students about how to build personal skills, education and self-confidence to be successful in life.

    And so much more......

What are the advantages of being in JROTC?

Students in JROTC have the same instructional team throughout their 4 years of high school - these experienced leaders teach, coach and mentor students to graduation and provide support as they explore and develop their post-high school plan.

JROTC is a Career and technical Education program with approved Nevada Department of Education Standards.  Want to skip physical education and health classes? JROTC is a family! Cadet friendships are solid and span high school and beyond. Cadets look out after each other and provide support = once you become a Cadet, you will never be alone again!  There are Cadets from all four grade levels in every period of JROTC classes = you will immediately have upper classmen as your friends and mentors!

Why do JROTC Cadets wear uniforms?

JROTC uses a military model, leadership experiential learning, company management

Teaches time management, discipline, organizational skills, attention to detail and pride in your accomplishments by wearing the awards that you earn!

To demonstrate that you are part of a team that is bigger than yourself!

JROTC is NOT a military training program or a recruiting program for military services = there are no military service obligations from being a JROTC Cadet!

What kind of fun activities will I do?
