C/LTC Iliana Meneses, 103rd Huskie Battalion Commander

The highly motivated and dedicated Huskie Battalion is going out strong for the 2021-2022 school year. We are proud to present ourselves as the oldest JROTC program in the state of Nevada, celebrating our centennial year a few years ago. The Battalion has 180 cadets.  Our highly decorated drill team, color guard, and rifle team, raider team and robotics team have been vigorously practicing. Last year the Huskie battalion added the robotics team to the program, culminating in a virtual competition at Nationals. This year we are hopeful in sending the robotics team in person to compete at Nationals. The Rifle team competed in-person at Nationals in Ohio and placed 19th in the nation for the Civilian Marksmanship Program. The Huskies are striving to maintain our long tradition of success by continuing to motivate all our cadets to participate in our service learning projects. We will also maintain our Honor Unit with Distinction at this year’s JPA. We are looking forward to another year, full of fun and competition. We are Respect, We are Honor, We are Strength. We are Huskies!
