The 2021-2022 school year is an exciting opportunity to welcome our cadets back and offer new opportunities for the Mustang Battalion.  Learning from and building on such a challenging year of hybrid and distance learning the unit seeks to expand its enrollment and expand its contributions to the community.  The Mustangs have logged thousands of community service hours contributing to a multitude of service projects focused heavily on the environment during the pandemic.  They plan on continuing the tradition of collecting and distributing thousands of toys in their partnership with the Marine Corp Reserve Toys-4-Tots.  Recently awarded the most improved unit in Area 13 placing them in the top 13 most improved units nationally among more than 600 Navy units.  The academics team has placed three years in a row in the top 9% among all units in the nation.  Unit decorated in 2020 with a Bravo Zulu at Area Managers Inspection and Unit Achievement citation for the year.  We plan to push every cadet to be the best they can be while simultaneously training and promoting leadership to keep the program moving forward.  This year reminds us how thankful and appreciative we are of our liberty, our health, and our community.  We will continue to grow and triumph despite any obstacles.  This year shall be the best yet for the Mustangs.
