The 2023-2024 school year is an exciting time for Damonte Ranch to build upon their ever-growing tradition of excellence.  The unit has grown by more than 10% while building on their success they have expanded their enrollment and contributions to the community.  The Mustangs have logged thousands of community service hours contributing to a multitude of service projects focused on their local community, environment and renewed partnership with the Marine Corp Reserve Toys-4-Tots where they help collect and distribute 1000s of toys for local children.  Recently awarded a Bravo Zulu at Area Managers Inspection and Unit Achievement citation for the year placing them in the top 25% of all Navy units.  The academic team is the number one Navy program in Northern Nevada and has placed, 5 years in a row, in the top 9% among all units in the nation.  Unit Robotics team is the number one Navy team in the State boasting a appearance at Worlds VEX robotics competition.  Their color guard is the current decorated first place winner in Northern Nevada.  The unit encourages every cadet to be the best they can be while simultaneously training and promoting leadership, good citizenship and service.  They are celebrating a ten-year unbroken streak of 100% four-year cadet graduation rate.  Damonte Ranch Navy JROTC now sets the standard for cultivating a culture of excellence, service and academic excellence.  This year, no doubt, holds new levels of achievement for the Mustang Battalion in STEM, competition and academia.  Go Mustangs!
