    General Music Mentee Program

The General Music Mentee Program is shaped to give new general music teachers support, resources, and guidance through their beginning years. We are here to help new general music teachers grow into their best teacher selves and develop skills that are necessary as a Music Educator.

The General Music Mentee Program is administrated by VPA Coordinator Amy Barthel. Mentors are current WCSD general music teachers who applied and were selected for the role of General Music Mentor Teacher. Your Mentors are your advocates and allies. As non-evaluative peers, Mentors are your support and guide through your novice teacher experience, sharing strategies and ideas while lifting you up as you discover your own personal style and approach to music teaching.
