Theater/Performance Arts
Theater is an art with roots that extend deeply into the human experience. Theater provides students with intellectual, aesthetic, social and technical proficiency. The study of theater develops in students the ability to express ideas, develop empathy, and make critical connections to human and social issues though the study and development of characters. The Theater instruction in the Washoe County School District is aligned with the National and State Theater Standards. The Washoe County School District website may contain links that lead to resources, video, etc., which is located on servers that are not maintained or controlled by the District.
