Visual Arts
The Washoe County School District Visual Arts instruction is aligned with the National and State Visual Arts Standards.
The effects of the art program do not end in the classroom, but extend into the personal and academic development of each student. Visually literate students also develop the ability to concentrate, consider various points of view, problem solve, think critically, interpret visual media, works as a team member, and work on a task until completion.
“Logic will get you from A to B. Imagination will take you everywhere.”
