In this video, we review November's College Fair and hear from admissions experts at TMCC and UNR about navigating what can be an intimidating and confusing topic. WCSD students seeking to go to college have many resources to help them understand and navigate this process, from annual college fairs, WCSD high school college & career centers, and college-level admissions advisors.

New Family Resource Centers serving everyone
A Family Resource Center is a safe and friendly place to go for many different types of resources when families need help. The Washoe County School District has recently added two FRC locations., and all locations are open year-round.

Caring for Classrooms has been busy in 2023!
For the Education Alliance of Washoe County's fundraiser "An Evening of Pure Imagination", November 4th, 2023, we shared this quick review of some great donations to schools. Bernice Mathews Elementary School will be building a new playground space for their smallest learners, and their 5th grade Student Council involved the rest of the students in voting for their favorite playground equipment!

Spring Break Capital Repairs and Upgrades in Our Schools, 2024
Washoe County School District is proud to continue our work investing in our future. We have invested over $282 million in the WCSD capital renewal program to date. The Capital Projects team is working on dozens of projects at our school sites and will be especially busy this summer.
