Career & Technical Student Organizations (CTSOs)
To further the development of leadership and technical skills, students have opportunities to participate in one or more Career and Technical Student Organizations (CTSOs). CTSOs develop character, citizenship, and the technical, leadership, and teamwork skills essential for the workforce and their further education. Their activities are considered a part of the instructional day when they are directly related to the competencies and objectives in the course.
Distributive Education Clubs of America (DECA)
A national association for marketing education students, DECA provides its members remarkable experiences in the preparation of emerging leadership and entrepreneurship.
Family Career and Community Leaders of America (FCCLA)
Involvement in FCCLA offers members the opportunity to expand their leadership potential and develop skills for life - planning, goal setting, problem solving, decision-making and interpersonal communication - necessary in the home and workplace.
Future Business Leaders of America (FBLA)
FBLA prepares students for success as leaders in our businesses, government and communities.
Future Farmers of America (FFA)
FFA makes a positive difference in the lives of students by developing their potential for premier leadership, personal growth, and career success through agricultural education.
Health Occupations Students of America (HOSA)
HOSA is a national student organization with a two-fold mission to promote career opportunities in the health care industry and to enhance the delivery of quality health care to all people.
International Thespian Society (ITS)
ITS is the Educational Theatre Association’s student honorary organization. ITS recognizes, rewards and encourages student achievement.
NASA Human Exploration Rover Challenge (HERC)
Six member teams build a human-powered rover that carries one female and one male student over a half-mile obstacle course of simulated extraterrestrial terrain of craters, boulders and crevasses.
ProStart® is a nationwide, two-year high school program that unites the classroom and industry to develop the best and brightest talent into tomorrow’s restaurant and foodservice leaders.
SkillsUSA is a national organization serving high school members who are enrolled in technical, skilled and service occupations. SkillsUSA improves the quality of America’s workforce through a structured program of citizenship, leadership, employability, technical and professional skills training.
Teens Cook With Heart
Obesity is an epidemic in America. Today 1 in 3 American children and teens is overweight or obese. Kids Cook With Heart/Teens Cook With Heart, the first American Heart Association (AHA) kids program in the nation to integrate hands-on healthy cooking and nutrition with cardiovascular health education, aims to change that.
