  • With the investment of the food trucks, Intuit plays an instrumental role in ensuring the success of the food truck program at school districts across the United States. Intuit is the global financial technology platform that powers prosperity for the people and communities we serve with Intuit TurboTax, Credit Karma, QuickBooks, and Mailchimp. Intuit is committed to powering prosperity beyond our products and having a positive impact at scale on communities around the world. In addition, the company recently introduced Intuit for Education, a financial literacy platform for students, that offers flexible and interactive curriculum with real world tools, to get students excited about finances and empower them to become the most financially savvy generation backed by Intuit’s 40 year history of helping people achieve financial confidence. 3 The food truck program is inspired by Intuit’s dedication to increasing job readiness by helping teach personal finance and durable skills that prepare people for the job market. This program offers a unique way to provide students with hands-on skill-building opportunities in CTE pathways.

    Experts powering prosperity

    As part of their commitment to the success of the program, Intuit’s role is to: 

    • deliver a fully-functioning food truck with commercial grade kitchen to selected school districts; 
    • provide curriculum and resource materials to support the Intuit food truck program as a CTE Culinary Arts Simulated Workplace model that also collaborates with complimentary CTE pathway programs; 
    • provide supporting programs, training, events, and competitions for students, teachers, and administrators. 
    • provide access to the Financial Literacy Foundation tools and a food truck program Resource Guide to school districts to use in connection with the food truck program; 
    • install tablet devices on all food trucks with software for processing food truck sales; 
    • train teachers and students on QuickBooks Online available through a foundational financial literacy curriculum for managing the finances of the food truck along with associated resources to educate students in personal finance and entrepreneurial finance. 
    • provide training to teachers on the implementation of the food truck program Resource Guide. 
    • train teachers and students on resources for marketing their business using real world tools, such as Mailchimp. 
    • provide school districts with guidelines for (i) the design of the food truck wrap, (ii) promotion of the food truck, (iii) development of storytelling and communication resources. 
    • approve & make the food truck wrap and any material prepared by the schools containing Intuit branding. 
    • provide school districts with brand and communications guidelines.
