Success in today’s economy—defined as having a well-paying, fulfilling career—starts early. In Washoe County School District, students begin by exploring careers and aligning educational choices with their skills, abilities and interests as they progress toward graduation. This is often done by enrolling in a middle– or high-school career/technical education (CTE) program which allows students to learn hands-on technical skills and practice real-world behaviors needed for employment success. This experience, alongside academic knowledge, places students firmly on a path to graduation and a fulfilling career!
