Connecting Students to Local High-Demand Jobs

  • Success in today’s economy—defined as having a well-paying, fulfilling career—starts early. In the Washoe County School District, students begin by exploring careers and aligning educational choices with their skills, abilities, and interests as they progress toward graduation. This is often done by enrolling in a middle or high school career and technical education (CTE) program which allows students to learn hands-on technical skills and practice real-world behaviors needed for employment success. This experience, alongside academic knowledge, places students firmly on a path to graduation and a fulfilling career!
