Prerequisites: Intro to Photo Shop or Animation-ishObjectives
1. Develop skills with animation software.
2. Design a plan to develop a well-made animation that could be published on the web.
3. Research the history of animation and its connections to STEAM.INTRODUCTION: Using PowerPoint, create a title and introduction slide. These slides must have the authors first and last name. The objectives must be REWRITTEN IN YOUR OWN WORDS. The presentation must be aesthetically pleasing and grammatically correct.
EXPLORE:
1. Watch these videos in order:- Open Adobe Flash Professional
3. Create a short animation (30 seconds or less) about whatever school appropriate thing you would like. Make sure your animation shows each of the skills learned in the tutorials.
RESEARCH:
1. In Washoe County, which high schools and courses offer pathways in animation?
2. How do software engineers and game designers work together to create video games?
3. What are 3 jobs outside of the film industry and video game industry that use Adobe Flash?
CRITICAL THINKING:
1. Go to Pixar in a Box and complete the lessons.
2. Use this tutorial to learn to make a ball bounce across your animation.
3. Create a Venn Diagram on how these two sites are similar and different.EXTEND:
1. Create a 30 second+ animation explaining what you are learning in Social Studies right now. HINT: Create a story board first!
2. Make history come alive! Add music, voice overs, and make it exciting and DYNAMIC.
