Hello Mendive families-
We worked hard to put together our Distance Learning model for the next three weeks for our hybrid students. Since Mendive MS is not a true 1:1 device school (meaning- not every student has their own device, so some families share a device) we had to make a schedule that allowed for multiple times for students to log into their teachers many live Zoom/Microsoft Teams meetings. Having more live Zoom times available, allows for more flexibility for students/families- ultimately allowing your child to join a live meeting that works in their schedule. Your child should attend at least two core subjects (math, science, history and English) Zoom meetings each week (you certainly can attend more if you need more support!). On Wednesday, your child should attend his/hers Elective Zoom meetings. Please note- For accountability (making sure we know which students are on the Zoom meeting) and online safety reasons, all students will need to have their face and name visible. The live Zoom meetings are as scheduled and links to these meetings will be on your child’s Team’s (or Elective Teachers) website/Microsoft Teams page:
- Monday and Thursday- Math Live Zoom Instruction/Support: 8:00am, 10:00am or 12:00pm and Science Live Zoom Meetings: 9:00am, 11:00am or 1:00pm
- Tuesday and Friday- English Live Zoom Instruction/Support: 8:00am, 10:00am or 12:00pm and History Live Zoom Instruction/Support: 9:00am, 11:00am or 1:00pm
- Wednesdays- Elective Live Zoom Instruction/Support (Login to your Elective Teacher’s Team page for specific Zoom meeting times)
While we are on full Distance Learning, your child is expected to access and complete all work/assignments/recorded lessons posted in Teams for every class each day- whether that class is Zooming or not that day.
Please have your child login everyday (beginning tomorrow December 2nd) to their Team’s website or Microsoft Teams page- where they will have access to all Zoom links, assignments, recorded lessons to watch, Nearpod lessons, Flipgrid lessons, attendance submission, and all other info/updates. As always, PLEASE email your teachers if you are confused, can’t find information, struggling navigating the distance learning, etc.… and we will gladly and always help you. This year has been an interesting year (to say the least) and dealt us many challenges. Through good times and difficult times, the Mendive staff is here to support you all.
There are no upcoming events to display.
