WCSD Seeking Members of the
Community to Serve on Committees
Reno, NV (June 4, 2024) – The Washoe County School District (WCSD) is looking for individuals to serve as members of various committees of the Board of Trustees and/or superintendent. While most committees are open to members of the general public, some have geographic requirements or openings specifically for parents, students, and/or staff.
Committee terms are typically two years and expire in the summer. If you have the time to volunteer and are passionate about making a difference in WCSD, please consider applying.
The Board of Trustees supports the use of committees to advise the Board and provide a variety of perspectives regarding educational programs, safety, operations, financial reporting, maintenance, and support services. The work of committees helps ensure programs and other services are relevant to address current standards; meet the needs of students and families; and provide appropriate resources to support high quality student outcomes.
Several committees currently have open positions, and the application period for all seats is open until June 14. For a complete list, and to monitor future openings on each committee, visit https://www.washoeschools.net/Page/3971
