Social and Emotional Learning (SEL) Digital Learning Resources:
It is vital to reflect on the 2019-2020 school year. In this significant time educators, students and families may be experiencing grief and loss. It is essential to recognize that our time together has been meaningful, give each other permission to express feelings and look to the future with hope.
Social and Emotional Learning (SEL) is a lifelong process where children and adults acquire knowledge, skills, and dispositions related to the five competencies.
SEL is rooted in brain research and focuses on starting and ending each day with a consistent routine that connects teachers and students as well as students with other students. Washoe County School District is focusing on three areas to message this idea through all of its schools:1. Climate and Culture2. Integration and Infusion into existing curriculum3. Direct Instruction
