School Supports

  • Behavior Advantage

This course is offered by Behavior Advantage, an organization deeply committed to the education sector. This course is designed to make practices accessible and relatable, drawing from their extensive experience working with teachers on student behaviors. The program is rooted in the desire to create a positive impact on students' lives.

Behavior advantage is a platform that supports the development of functional behavior assessments (FBAs), safety plans, and behavior intervention plans (BIPs). The platform also includes tools tracking student progress and a library of evidence-based interventions.

Participants will gain insights into various behavioral strategies, learn how to implement them in their classrooms and understand how these methods can enhance student engagement and learning outcomes. It is intended to broaden teaching techniques, improve classroom management, and foster a more inclusive and productive learning environment.

    Crisis Prevention Institute (CPI)

Trauma-informed prevention and de-escalation training for educators and support staff. CPI is evidence-based training that yields positive, long-term results, including decreased challenging behavior, higher academic success and increased staff retention.

    Types of trainings:

    Classroom Culture

The purpose of the classroom culture program is to help establish a supportive classroom culture that promotes learning within your school. When a positive classroom culture is established, behavior issues and classroom disruptions are limited. Limited disruptions lead to better relationships and improved student learning.

    Verbal Intervention

The purpose of this program is to build on your knowledge and skills to recognize, prevent, and manage crisis behaviors using person-centered and trauma-informed responses. This program instills the skills to prevent and verbally de-escalate disruptive behaviors. You will begin to establish a common philosophy and framework for your organization's culture of Care, Welfare, Safety, and Security.
