     Mission Statement

Washoe County School District’s mission is to provide a quality education that prepares all children for a successful future, and our substitute teachers play an integral part. Substitute teaching is a demanding job that requires positive attitudes, organization, mental preparation, flexibility, knowledge and skill. We value our Substitute Teachers who contribute to student achievement through their commitment to quality education!

Guest (Substitute) Teachers provide a safe and supportive environment for students and those entrusted to their care. They play a vital role in enabling us to maintain continuity of student academic achievement, thus maximizing the potential of each child passing through our doors. Substitute Services would like to take this opportunity to thank you for your willingness to serve our children and our schools.
