• Washoe County School District has partnered with the Truckee Meadows Park Foundation to offer reimbursement for their trails challenge for employees and spouses with WCSD health insurance.

WCSD employees have until 12/31 of the year that you register to complete your challenge and submit your forms to The Truckee Meadows Park Foundation.

What is included in the challenge?

A trails log booklet, a monthly newsletter, and access to monthly guided hikes. Each month, Truckee Meadows Park Foundation hosts a guided hike, led by certified interpretive guides who work at Truckee Meadows Parks Foundation. These hikes are exclusive to Trails Challenge members.

Throughout the year, Trails Challenge members can log any miles they hike in their log booklet (or in a web app). You can log the guided hikes, but also any hikes you do by yourself. At the end of the year, if you submit your log to TMPF, they will send them prizes based on how many miles they hiked. There are different tiers, and the more you hike, the more prizes you will earn.
