I am deeply humbled and honored to serve as an Associate Chief of Elementary Teaching, Learning, and Leading. After spending my own educational journey as a student within the Washoe County School District, I have had the privilege of serving in various roles. I began my career teaching at Bernice Mathew Elementary School in 2001 before beginning my leadership path at Libby Booth Elementary School, where I served as an Assistant Principal and Principal. After seven years at Libby Booth, I moved on to be the Principal at Donner Springs Elementary School. From 2019-2023, I represented the northwest region of the state as the Director of the Northwest Regional Professional Development Program. As an educator, I pride myself on being an advocate for building strong foundations for our youngest learners, partnering with families and the community, and developing excellent teachers and leaders in every building.
As an Associate Chief, it is my mission to provide a safe, caring, and engaging academic environment for all students. I am committed to supporting the outstanding leaders and school staff in our elementary schools as we strive to meet the goals of the WCSD strategic plan.
