In this video, we review November's College Fair and hear from admissions experts at TMCC and UNR about navigating what can be an intimidating and confusing topic. WCSD students seeking to go to college have many resources to help them understand and navigate this process, from annual college fairs, WCSD high school college & career centers, and college-level admissions advisors. Keep in mind: The beginning of the school year is the time to watch for deadlines (University College admissions and scholarships), write (and get help writing) essays for college and scholarship applications, and apply for federal financial aid. In 2024 the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) is now shorter and simpler, and help is available to understand and fill out the new forms.
