WCSD Is Hiring:
Two Career Fairs Scheduled

Reno, NV (June 13, 2024) – The Washoe County School District (WCSD) is holding two career fairs in June and is looking to fill a number of vacant positions including teachers, occupational therapists, special education staff members, and a variety of other job openings.

WCSD Human Resources representatives will be available at both events to discuss incentives including signing bonuses and the Alternate Route to Licensure (ARL) program, which provides a pathway to certification for those who have a bachelor’s degree and would like to teach while earning their certification.

“We have vacancies for teachers at schools across the district and will be spending the summer actively recruiting highly qualified educators to fill these positions,” said WCSD Chief Human Resources Officer Doug Owen. “In addition, we have vacancies for classroom aides and assistants, transportation, and nutrition services personnel.

“WCSD offers great incentives to eligible employees including signing and/or retention bonuses for certain hard-to-fill positions in our district, generous health benefits that become effective on the first contracted day of work, and enrollment in the Public Employment Retirement System (PERS). We are looking for highly qualified and motivated individuals to join our team, and these public recruitment events are a great place for our prospective team members to learn more.”
