    The Pre-K program provides high quality early childhood education services for qualifying families in the Washoe County School District. Due to the high demand for these programs, we require all our available spaces to be filled with regularly attending, active participants.

    All families enrolled in the Pre-K program are required to fulfill the following;
    • Attend Family Orientation
    • Attend Family conferences
    • Read with your child and report time read 

    We are a grant-funded program and have family engagement goals to meet. Please attend four, or more, of the following events;

    • NV Pre-Standards
    • Frog Street Curriculum
    • Conscious Discipline
    • I Love You Rituals
    • Nevada Ready! Family Engagement Survey Support
    • Kindergarten Transition

    Family Events

    • Be a S.T.A.R Social Emotional Event
    • Celebrate Literacy Event
    • STEAM Exploration Event
    • Kindergarten Transition Event

    Site Workshops and Events - offered through the Pre-K site

    Eligibility Criteria:

    • Children must be four years old ON or BEFORE August 1st of the school year they will attend this Pre-k program.
    • Child is current with immunizations
    • Income is a qualifying factor for the majority of the programs.

    2025–2026 Pre-K Interest List Survey

    • If your child qualifies and a space becomes available, a program representative will email you from PrekEnrollment@washoeschools.net during the enrollment season, usually beginning in the spring.
