One key to a successful MTSS process is regular monitoring of the effectiveness of interventions that are in place.  In terms of attendance interventions a great tool for monitoring is the Average Daily Attendance tool in BIG.  Use this tool to quickly ascertain whether a student's attendance has improved, decreased, or stayed level for a given period of time.

• In BIG click on The Average Daily Attendance tool​
• Set a base date immediately prior to the start of the intervention​
• Set a comparison date 6-8 weeks after the intervention has been in place​
• Click on any of the numbers (increase, decrease, or no change) to see a student level report.  You can also click your school name for a whole school report. ​
• This report will allow you to see what impact the intervention had over the course of the intervention.
