Lisa-Marie Lightfoot (Administrator): Lisa-Marie Lightfoot has been with WCSD for 15 years. She has B.A. in Communications and Business and M.A.in Business with a Certificate in Volunteer Administration. She was one of the four founders of the Volunteer Administrators of Northern Nevada (VANN) and currently is a Board member the Nevada Women’s History Project, Opportunity Alliance and a member of the Foster-Grandparents Advisory Board.Dex Thomas (Volunteer Services Special Program Coordinator): Dex has been with WCSD for 8 years. He has a B.A. In Human Services/Management. Dex started working as a teacher assistant at Rita Cannan Elementary as a second job while working as the director of a foster care agency. There he worked with mainly the after school program helping the students learn technology and sports. After a few years he came to the WCSD fulltime as a Re-engagement specialist where he found students who were considered vanished students and helped the student get back on track for success in school and provide the needed resources for the family. He later moved to another position as an Outreach Specialist where he built relationships and partnerships with several community agencies and several district departments.Ana M Aguilar (Secretary): Ana has been employed with WCSD for 17 years.
She has worked at Sparks High, Spanish Springs E.S, Sepulveda E.S, Mamie Towels E.S, and Vaughn M.S before starting with Volunteer Services in October 2018. She is looking forward to her new challenges and adventure that the department has to offer.
Ana Aguilar is a Reno native and did most of her school in Mexico. She has a son. In her “spare” time she enjoys walks in the park, being involved in her church, movies, dining out, and spending quality time with friends and family.
She is also fluent in Spanish.Tracy Sherwood (Financial Wellness Kick Start Navigator): Tracy Sherwood is an experienced WCSD volunteer, both at the school level and the district level. She has served as Parent Faculty Association President; Council on Family Engagement Chair, Vice-Chair, and Secretary; and Gifted and Talented Advisory Council Vice-Chair and Secretary. She uses her experience to guide parents in claiming their State Treasury Kick Start accounts, starting when they enter kindergarten. Tracy is married and has a one son. She enjoys riding her bicycle all over town, reading, growing roses, and spending time with her family.
Marietta O’Reilly is a life-long learner and educator who works to help early childhood students, elementary students, and their parents learn to love learning together. She believes that when parents understand that they are their children’s first teachers and discover how to help their children learn both the parents and children benefit.
Marietta taught as a Washoe County teacher for twenty-two years and a licensed substitute teacher for three years. She treasures meeting former students who are successful citizens in our community.
She served as an English Language Learner teacher with Reading Recovery training as well as a classroom teacher in English and Spanish throughout her career in Washoe County School District.
Marietta holds a Master of Arts in Educational Supervision and Administration from the University of Phoenix, Reno and a Bachelor of Arts in Liberal Studies II, emphasis on Spanish Bilingual/Bicultural studies from San Diego State University.
Breanna Gianopoulos (Regents academic coordinator): Breanna is a first generation Nevadan, with a desire for working with underprivileged populations. She is currently a graduate student at the University of Nevada and is studying to be a School Counselor here in Washoe County School District. Breanna oversees the Regents Service Tutor Program at Volunteer Services through a graduate assistantship made possible by the University of Nevada, Reno.
In her free time, Breanna enjoys running, spending time with her family, and exploring nature with her two German Shepherd dogs: Leo and Reina!
