Student Advisory Council
Mission Statement:
We are the voice connecting students’ needs and interests to foster positive change in the Washoe County School District. We believe in “Every Child, by Name, Face, and STORY to Graduation” and are confident that through the strength in Student Voice, we can turn that dream into a reality.
Student Advisory Council
The Student Advisory Council consists of high school students from across WCSD. The members of the council bring forward topics of interest and innovative solutions to issues that impact their education. In addition, the student advisory council meets with district leadership and district personnel to give direct feedback on projects, as well as serves on special committees that have an interest in having student representation.

The Student Advisory Council is currently accepting applications for the 2023-24 school year. Students will be expected to attend monthly SAC meetings and other events/meetings that come up throughout the year. Students are expected to represent students in their schools and communities and offer student viewpoints accordingly regarding WCSD policies and procedures.
