We understand that the current COVID 19 situation will cause many questions and confusion. Please know that we will continue to support you -- our students and families -- as best we can from a distance.
For now, please know that these are our top priorities:
- Your well-being– Please take this opportunity to practice healthy self-care.
- Invest in learning new techniques to manage stress.
- Finish overdue work so that you feel caught up.
- If you are interested in community resources, please see the resource link at the right for a list of available resources.
- Your academics:
- Stay connected to your teachers
- Continue working on classes that are done outside the school (i.e. TMCC Dual Credit through their preferred modality, BYU, Edgenuity, Job Experience, or Extended Studies)
- Some of these programs may bring up questions- do not hesitate to contact us
- How you can contact your counselor:
- Webmail – We will answer your questions using the Connexus webmail system
- Dr. Pressey (Grades K-8) online office hours are: 8:30-4pm.
- Ms Block (High School 9-12) online office hours are: 8:30-4pm with an open "Drop in" session every Wednesday from 12:30-1:15 pm via Zoom. The Zoom link was sent to all students & parents/guardians via webmail.
- Rest assured, all your questions will be answered!
The school district is doing their best to keep you informed and will continue to do so as more information becomes available on our district website www.washoeschools.net .
