    Students spoke at the Nevada Department of Education and one thing was clear during their testimonies regarding school safety.

    Not only do they want to be heard but they want to be part of the solution!

Welcome to Turning Point

  • Turning Point will provide the support needed to ensure the educational, intellectual, social-emotional, and vocational development of students to enable them to be productive members of society.



    Turning Point is a self-contained program on an alternative campus in the Washoe County School District (WCSD) in Reno, Nevada. The Turning Point program helps individual special needs children who have problems and who have demonstrated significant behavioral regression in the least restrictive environment. (LRE) on a middle school or high school campus even with supplemental aides, services, modifications, and individual behavior plans.

    Wrap around mental health services are provided in the community through University of Nevada, Reno school of Medicine and the Children’s Cabinet.
