You can apply from now through January 1st for the 2020-2021 school year. Applications can be found at the link below. Welcome to The GATE Institute
The GATE Institute at Hug High School is the collaboration of Washoe County School District's Gifted and Talented Education Programs and High High School. The collaboration blends gifted programming with a comprehensive high school experience.
The mission of the Department of Gifted and Talented Education Programs is to provide identified gifted and talented students differentiated instruction that is commensurate with their exceptional abilities through a wide spectrum of curricular and instructional gifted services and opportunities. To meet the advanced learning needs, the District will provide programming that is intellectually and academically rigorous, fosters creativity, and provides social and emotional support.
