Local Scholarships 2024-2025

  • Paws 4 Love Scholarship

    • This scholarship will be awarded on an objective and nondiscriminatory basis. Anyone is eligible to apply.
    • Scholarship funds must be used specifically for college, universities or vocational schools. This includes tuition, class or lab fees, books, and supplies.
    • The criteria for selections are based on the student’s cumulative academic and citizenship GPA, their interest in pet therapy and their general contributions to the community as a whole.

    Timeline:

    • Applications due on March 31
    • Scholarship awarded in April
    • Funds dispersed in August

  • Friends of the National Multiple Sclerosis Society Scholarship

    Friends of the National Multiple Sclerosis Society is proud to announce the establishment of a one-time scholarship program aimed at supporting students who have been affected by Multiple Sclerosis in any manner, whether it be directly or through their connections with family or loved ones. As a non-profit organization dedicated to supporting individuals affected by MS, we understand the challenges that families face when dealing with this condition. Through this scholarship, we aim to provide financial assistance to students who have demonstrated resilience, compassion, and determination despite the challenges presented by MS in their lives.

    Scholarship Name: Friends of the National Multiple Sclerosis Society Scholarship

    • Eligibility Criteria:

    • Applicants must be currently enrolled or planning to enroll in an accredited college, university, or career center.
    • Applicants must have been affected by MS in a direct/indirect manner.
    • Applicants must demonstrate academic achievement, leadership potential, and involvement in extracurricular activities or community service. 
    • Award Amount: $1,000
    • Number of Awards: 1
    • Application Deadline: April 15th

  • Community Foundation of Northern Nevada

    The 2025 Scholarship Cycle is now open. These are local scholarships provided by local individuals, families, and companies who care about helping students cover the rising cost of tuition.

  • 2025 Sierra Nevada Chapter DAR Scholarship

    Scholarship Value: $2,000

    Scholarship Eligibility:

    • Minimum 3.25 G.P.A. unweighted 
    • Washoe County School District Senior 
    • Involved in school activities
    • Involved in community service
    • Attend college/university/technical or vocational school upon graduation

  • The TMCC Foundation Scholarship is designed to award scholastic merit and assist with financial need by providing scholarships on an academic year cycle. Funds are provided by private donors wishing to aid TMCC students with their educational goals.

    Current and prospective TMCC students are eligible to apply for TMCC Foundation scholarships between January 1 and March 1 annually. Scholarship awards are based on factors such as scholastic merit and financial need.
