Middle Schools

Greetings!

My name is Carl LaGrone Jr, and I am extremely excited to join the Pine Middle School Family as an assistant principal. I am new to the team, and I am looking forward to starting the 2024-2025 school year.

I was born and raised in San Diego, California where I attended Abraham Lincoln High School. I earned my Bachelors degree in Liberal Arts from the University of Nevada in 2004, my Master of Arts in Education from the University of Phoenix in 2008, and my Master of Educational Leadership from the University of Nevada in 2018.

My career in education started in the Washoe County School District as a teacher’s aide in Special Education in 2004-2005. I then was a substitute teacher in the district at various elementary, middle and high schools until I secured a long-term sub job at Traner Middle school as a PE teacher. In 2010-2019 I served as a PE and weights teacher at Hug High School, before becoming The Dean at Turning Point school 2019-2022. 2022-2024 I was The Dean at McQueen High school. I have also coached basketball, track and field, and continue to coach baseball, and football at the high school level

I am honored to serve the Pine Patriots students, families, staff, and community as we begin the start to a successful school year.
