Hey Lancer Family! You must have an off-campus pass to leave school. The only exception is during lunch. Please check in at the office for a pass—you must have parental permission. If you are off-campus without a pass, you are truant! If you get sick during the school day, you should go to the health office. Please do not just go home!

Personal Property on Campus--A reminder, Washoe County School District and McQueen High School are not responsible for items brought to campus that are lost or stolen.  To prevent loss of property, please remember to keep valuable items and money either securely locked, or even safer, leave them at home.  If you lose anything at school alert SRO right away.  Otherwise, keep it secure or at home!

Restricted Access during School Hours--An important reminder: For safety reasons students cannot have access to any areas of the football field or other athletic fields, gyms, and facilities during school hours, including lunch.  Please remain out of these areas at all times.  Thank you.

No Students on Blue Tile Hallways during Lunch

Beginning second semester, there will be no students allowed on the blue tile areas in the 100 and 200 hallways during lunch.  There will be signage posted in these halls.  If you have arranged to sit in your teacher’s classrooms during lunchtime that is still permitted. Please refrain from loitering in these hallways during lunch.

Lancers: It is the belief of the Washoe county school district staff and police our Safety is everyone’s responsibility. If you see something Say Something! If you want to report, you can contact secret witness at 329-6666 or text to 274637. Enter tip725 + your message. Sometimes there are cash rewards available.

Students as the weather gets colder it is important to stay warm, but please remember that hats and hoods are not allowed to be worn in the building from half an hour before school until after a half an hour after school. Additionally, as we celebrate college week please remember to adhere to the dress code J

Students remember if you are driving and parking a car on campus, you need to purchase a parking permit for your car. Purchase your permit from the bookkeeper for $5.

Students, just a reminder that if you are not feeling well and need to go to the Health Office, you MUST get a pass from your teacher.  If it is during passing, please report to your next class and ask your teacher for pass.

The cafeteria has some exciting news.  Students can now use their accounts at any indoor or outdoor station. This means you don’t have to stand in long lines inside the cafeteria.  You can go to one of the outside carts and there will be laptops to access your account.  Anyone can get lunch inside the cafeteria or at an outside station.  If you have questions, please stop by and speak to one of the kitchen workers.

Also from the cafeteria: Would you like to be entered into a drawing for an Amazon $100 gift card and/or an Amazon Fire Tablet? --- Submit a survey for food services and you are automatically entered to win. Show your survey confirmation to the cafeteria staff and you will receive a $1 A La Carte item. Go to www.studentVP.com/washoe to do the survey.
