Below you will find information regarding AP courses and Exams
- AP course are Advanced Placement college level courses
- WCSD requires all students taking an AP course to sit for the exam in May. Exams are typically the first 2 weeks of May and cost $97 for each exam. These fees must be paid by October 15th.
- Mrs Hardy is our AP Coordinator. She will be sending you important information regarding AP testing through your Connexus Webmail, so be sure to check it regularly.
- Mrs. McLaughlin, our High School Counselor, can assist you with choosing an AP class. All of our AP courses are listed on our course sheet. Please see the Course Selection page link at the left.
- All students taking AP courses must fill out and sign the AP Statement of Understanding form located below.

"Joining" your AP class
- This process is necessary to ensure your exam will be ordered without any late fees. Please click here to get the instruction sheet. DO NOT CREATE another Collegeboard account if you don't remember your password. Use the "forgot username/password" function. Creating more than one account will create serious issues when you try to send your scores to colleges or register to take the SAT.
- Your teachers will webmail you the Join codes.
- Please be sure to get this done by September 21st.

AP Statement of Understanding
- This form is required for all students enrolled in AP Courses. Please either fill out digitally or download the form, fill it out, print and then "scan" and send PDF to Ms. Hardy via email or webmail. If you don't have a printer you can type in the signatures, and webmail the file.
How to Scan Documents With iOS
The release of iOS 11 added a new scanning feature to Notes. Here's how to use it:
- Open the Notes app and tap the icon to create a new note.
- Tap the Camera icon above the keyboard and select Scan Document.
- Position the phone camera over the document. Notes automatically focuses and captures an image, or you do it manually by tapping the shutter button.
- After you scan a page, drag the handlesto crop the scan. Tap Keep Scan to continue.
You can also type Retake to scan the document again.
- When you're finished, pressSave.
How to Scan Documents With Android
You need Google Drive installed to scan documents with Android. The app generally comes pre-installed on Android devices. If you don't have it, download it for free from the Google Play Store.
- Open Google Drive and tap the +
- Under the Create Newtab, select Scan.
- Position the phone camera over the document and tap the Shutter button when you're ready to capture the image.
- Tap the checkmark to keep the scan or tap thetrash icon to delete it.
- Tap the +symbol to scan more images or tap the checkmark to finish and upload your document to Google Drive.
- When you finish scanning, enter a file name for your new PDF and choose which folder to save it in.
Once you have saved your fie you can then attach it to a webmail to send it to me.

- The $97 Exam fee for each AP class is due by October 30th. Please pay by check, cash or card in person. Checks can also be sent via US Mail to North Star (AP) 5450 Riggnins Ct, Ste 6. Reno, NV 89502. Additionally, you can call Mrs. Ogg and pay with a card over the phone.
- Please contact Mrs. McLaughlin if you need assistance paying for the exam.
