    WCSD Spring 2024 Group Internships

    Qualifications for Applicants (recommended):

    • In 11th or 12th grade
    • A minimum of 2.0 GPA for 12 months prior to applying
    • No major issues in behavior or attendance
    • Desire and commitment to attend

    Note for Renown applicants: Students must provide proof of immunizations and attend an orientation with a parent/guardian

     

    Police Jr. Cadet Program
    Work with the Reno and WCSD Police for a semester and earn 1/2 credit!

    Nevada Department of Wildlife: Lathrop-Capurro Internship 2024

    Applications are due on February 7, 2024 at 5:00 PM.

    Qualifications for Applicants:

    • Must be in 12th grade
    • Must be collegebound and intending on pursuing an undergrad degree in wildlife management, biology, ecology, or a closely related field.
    • They must have a minimum of a 2.5 GPA during their senior year.

    Requirements: 

    • age: must be at least 18 years old.

     

    • education: high school graduate or ged equivalency with official transcripts. transcripts must be provided in a sealed envelope from the school or ged provider.

     

    • identification: a valid driver’s license and social security card (copies required).

     

    • physical ability: must be physically capable of performing the essential functions of the program without posing a threat to the health and safety of themselves or others.

     

    • skills: basic mechanical and math skills, good eye-hand coordination, problem-solving ability, solid reasoning skills, and computer skills.

     

    • work habits: must have excellent study and work habits, enjoy working with hands, and be reliable and responsible.
