Hi Thunderbolt families!

I am Mrs. Gravenstein (most call be Ms. G) and I am one of the enrichment teachers for the Pah Rah squad and I also teach Leadership and Yearbook.

I grew up in Reno but was born in Las Vegas. I moved here at the beginning of 6^th grade and attended Libby Booth Elementary, Vaughn Middle School and Wooster High School. I graduated from UNR and took some time to get in the classroom. I have been teaching for 10 years now. I started my teaching career at Rita Cannan. I spent one year there then moved to Glenn Duncan where I taught 4^th grade. Since then, I have taught 5^th and 6^th grade at Sepulveda before opening Sky Ranch last year. I have found my niche! I absolutely love middle school and the electives I teach.

I am married with two kids. My husband’s name is Chris and he works for the city as an Environmental Control Officer. My kids, Jayce (5^th grade) and Malyssa (3^rd grade) attend Sepulveda Elementary. We love to go camping, travel, watch football, play games, golf and bike ride. Our favorite place in the whole world is Lake Almanor. We have spent the last 10 summers up in the same campground. We park our trailer there on the weekends and head there every weekend.

I am so excited for the adventure this year will bring. 2020 has been crazy thus far and we are constantly making adjustments to new things every day, but I am so happy to be back in the classroom with my students. Let’s have a great year Thunderbolts!
