'To-Do' List for those new to Band:
- Instrument rentals/purchase: complete the rental request form if you want to rent a school instrument. If you're going to rent/buy one on your own, you are welcome to do that as well. I'd be happy to check what you're getting before you purchase, just send me a link. Here's a link to more info about getting an instrument & a list of local music stores who rent instruments.
- Supplies: You’ll need to purchase supplies for your instrument. See the Band Supply List so you know what to get. You can purchase them through the band (cheaper/easier), in a store or online. Here are the supply order forms that you should send in with payment (you can print these at home and I have copies avaialble at school to send home as well):
- Band fee: All band fees are $10. Please send in with the form above.

ALL STATE BAND AUDITIONS (open to 7th & 8th graders)
-Overview: All State Band will be a virtual experience where students will have 2 practices with a guest conductor (on Zoom). Students will then practice on their own and video record a piece of music. Their video will be combined with videos from middle school band students from the entire state to make a full band performance that can be shared with friends and family. I am able to nominate 10 students so students will audition to earn their nomination into the group (they may not accept all nonimations but those nominated will receive exrta credit either way). Students will replace regular practice assignments with this project while it is going (a few weeks in February/March).
-Audition music: Exercises #185 and 85 from the Advanced Band Book. If Intermediate Band students are interested, please email Mr. B to get the music.
-Audition submission link: students will submit a video of their audition in Flipgrid using this link
-Auditions are due by 11:59pm on Friday, January 8th
