BYU Independent Studies is online coursework provided to high school students to help meet their educational needs, helping them prepare for higher education and successful careers run through BYU. There are courses offered in core subject areas, electives, APs, language, and PE. They currently offer credit recovery courses as well. Students can use these courses to get back on track towards graduation, take courses not offered at SSHS, or take additional classes to finish their high school credit requirements to graduate early. These courses are 100% online and self-paced. Students have 1 year from the date they sign up to complete the course with no penalty. There are fees associated with each class and these vary depending on what course is being taken.
