Welcome Back Teal and Black!
Attention Panthers! Next week is Homecoming Week and the theme of the week is Hollywood Films. Monday is tropical or Arctic wear, Tuesday is the color of your relationship status (red=taken, white=single, tie dye=complicated), Wednesday wear pink, Thursday NVHS gear, and Friday wear your favorite sports gear. The Homecoming assembly will be on Thursday, September 19th during seminar. The Homecoming game is also on Thursday, September 19th at 7:00 PM. We will be crowning our royalty candidates during half-time. The Homecoming Dance is on Friday, September 20th in the cafeteria from 5-7 PM, tickets are $5 and can be purchased from Mrs. Pauley at lunch or after school.
Attention 10th and 11th Graders: The PSAT will be offered at NVHS on Wednesday, October 23rd at 8:00 AM. Sophomores who are interested, please see your counselor to sign up. Juniors who would like to take it to qualify for the National Merit Scholarship will need to pay $18 to the bookkeeper and will also sign up with their counselor. Sign-ups will close on 9/13 so that the exams can be ordered. Thank you!
Parents and Students: As a reminder, a DMV Certification of Attendance form needs to be signed by the school prior to your child obtaining their instruction permit or driver’s license. The attendance form can be found on the DMV website. Students need to meet Nevada school attendance requirements, which is 90% average daily attendance, in order for this form to be signed. Please submit forms to front office and allow a 24 hour turnaround in order for the school to verify and sign that your child meets the attendance requirements. Thank you.
