Athletic Eligibility
To be eligible to participate in interscholastic athletics at Swope Middle School, a student must maintain a 2.0 GPA or better in all subjects. An “F” in academics/citizenship will disqualify a student. Initial eligibility will be determined by the previous 9 week grades. Students failing to maintain the school eligibility standards may re-apply after a period of one week. If the deficiencies are corrected, eligibility will be established at that time. Only the first grade check is cumulative, the others are based on weekly performance grades.
