Our beginner band is a great introduction to music and teamwork, while our intermediate and advanced bands offer challenging repertoire and performance opportunities.   • Beginning Band

    Are you curious about music and enjoys a challenge? Beginning band is the perfect place to start your musical journey! This class offers a fun and supportive environment where students will learn the fundamentals of playing a woodwind, brass, or percussion instrument. From proper posture and breath control to reading music and playing melodies, they'll gain valuable musical skills that translate to other areas of life. But most importantly, beginning band fosters teamwork and creativity, allowing students to experience the joy of making music together in a band.

This exciting ensemble dives deeper into the world of music, tackling more intricate pieces that explore a variety of genres and techniques. You'll refine your sight-reading skills, allowing you to play new music with confidence. You'll develop your teamwork and communication skills as you work alongside your peers to bring music to life. This experience includes performance opportunities, such as exciting trips to Festival and Coconut Bowl.

You'll build upon your teamwork and communication skills, creating a powerful and expressive sound that will captivate audiences. This dedication is rewarded with unforgettable performance opportunities, including prestigious festivals, thrilling theme park adventures, the Sparks Christmas Parade, and a Reed High School Football Game performance.
