Summer

Summer basketball runs June 4^th - June 27^th. Games are Tuesdays and Thursdays at SSHS and DHS. Spots are limited. Contact Coach O'Day for details.

 

Equipment Needed

Basketball shoes, athletic shorts, and t-shirt

 

Skill Requirements

Ability to run sprints for long periods of time, good hand eye coordination.

 

Tryout Dates

November 16^th 8 - 12pm & November 18^th 3pm - 5:30 pm (Times subject to change). This is a cut sport. Each team has a capacity of 12 roster spots. 

 

Time Expectations

Basketball Season runs from mid-November to mid-February. Teams practice through winter break and have games. Players are expected to commit to all games and practices at this time. 

 

Estimate of Spirit Pack Fees

Spirit pack averages around $300

 

Tournaments

Freshman and JV play in two local tournaments the first week of December and right after Christmas. 

Varsity plays in a local tournament the first week of December and will travel out of state after Christmas. 

 

Season Details

Basketball Season runs from mid-November to mid-February. All teams practice 6 days a week for 2 hours. Practice is mandatory.

Parent meeting is mandatory and TBA.
