Welcome to the 2017-2018 school year.  

I am so excited to meet you all and share in my love of scienc with you.  I would like to introduce myself.  My name is Melissa Thackaberry formaly known as Melissa Taveira.  I just recently got married in Kauai Hawaii  I have been in the district for 19 years and have taught in elementary, middle and high school. My family consits of my husband, 2 step sons, 2 dogs and 10 chickens.  I have been teaching at Shaw since it opened in 2004 and continue to be a huge part in the culture of the school.  I also support athletics at Shaw as a track coach and up at Spanish Springs with football, basketball and wrestling.
