I, Mr. McKemy have been a Mathematics teacher at Pine Middle School for over 20 years. I've had the previlage of being a student, parent, coach and teacher at Pine Middle School. I grew up in the area and attended Smithridge, Lenz Elementaries, Pine Middle School and Wooster High School. Then I attended Univeristy of Nevada earning a Bachelors degree in Mathematics. I attended Sierra Nevada College in Incline Village to earn my Nevada Teaching Credential. Finished my education with Grand Canyon University earning a Masters Degree in Educational Administration. Awarded Northern Nevada Mathematics Counsel Outstading Mathematics Educator the year in 2006.

I have enjoyed all my years at Pine Middle School. I cannot think of another school I would want to be a part of. We have experienced many changes and events at Pine over the years, but our main focus has always been about the students. We want all students to leave Pine Middle School understanding the importance of education and it is never too late to learn.

Pine Mathematics department is driven to assess, guide and push all students in their learning. Our goal is for all students to meet and/or exceed their mathematical abilities. All students, given effort and determination can achieve proficiency (even mastery) in Mathematics within Pine Middle School. Every year I enjoy seeing students push themselves to their potential.
