NOV. 1: VOICE OF DEMOCRACY SCHOLARSHIP (UP TO $30,000)

DEC. 1: CREDITSPOT SCHOLARSHIP ($1,000)
Open to students who are currently in their senior year of high school with a cumulative GPA of 2.5 or higher. Every applicant must write an essay about any subject regarding credit: credit cards, debt, or the U.S. credit situation. Click here for more information and to apply.
DEC 9th: APIA Scholarship Program-Up to $20,000
The APIA Scholarship is our largest scholarship program, open to AANHPI undergraduate students attending any U.S. accredited university or college. Scholarship amounts range from $2,500 one-year awards to $20,000 multi-year awards. APIA Scholars has a special focus on supporting AANHPI students who live at or below the poverty line; are in the first generation of their family to attend college; are representative of the APIA community’s diversity, (geographically and ethnically}, especially those ethnicities that have been underrepresented on college campuses due to limited access and opportunity. Strong applicants would also have an emphasis on community service and leadership.
DEC. 15: BURGER KING SCHOLARSHIP ($5,000)
Open to graduating high school seniors living in the United States. Students must have a 2.5 to 4.0 GPA and plan to enroll full time at an accredited 2 or 4 year college, university, OR vocational-technical school. Click here for more information and to apply.
DEC. 15: BACK TO SCHOOL SCHOLARSHIP ($2,500)

DEC. 31: LENDZA’S BETTER THAN A LOAN SCHOLARSHIP ($1,000)
Open to student 18 years of age or older who are U.S. residents and will be enrolled in an institution of higher education. Students must submit a TWEET and complete a 500-word essay. Click here for more information and to apply.
DEC. 31: TOP TEN LIST SCHOLARSHIP ($1,500)
Open to students who are 13 years of age or older, legal resident of the United States or the District of Columbia, and plan to enroll in an accredited post-secondary institution by 2022. Students submit a Top Ten List of the top ten reasons they should get this scholarship by communicating what is truly special and different about yourself. DEC. 31: NAVAL RESERVE OFFICERS TRAINING CORPS SCHOLARSHIPS (FULL TUITION)
Receive full tuition, book stipend, and more. The purpose of the Navy ROTC Program is to educate and train qualified young men and women for service as commissioned officers in the Navy's unrestricted line, the Navy Nurse Corps and the Marine Corps. Open to high school seniors who plan to attend an accredited 4-year institution within the United States. Students must demonstrate financial need, be a U.S citizen, and have demonstrated a dedication to community service. Students must complete the application process along with 4 written essays. JAN. 25: ALEXANDER HAMILTON SCHOLARS PROGRAM ($500 + New Experience)
Open to students high-achieving, service focus high school juniors with grit, perseverance, and demonstrated need, who are college bound and committed to participating in a rigorous leadership program. JAN. 31: S0R0PTIMIST INTERNATIONAL OF TRUCKEE MEADOWS ($2,000)
Open to graduating seniors, with an emphasis on those pursuing technical or vocational careers. Must have a GPA of 2.5 or greater and can demonstrate financial need. The scholarship is paid in two installments, directly to the school. Recipients will be awarded at a luncheon at the Atlantis Casion Resort. FEB. 1: NIAAA STUDENT-ATHLETE SCHOLARSHIP ($500, $1500, $2500 scholarships awarded)
Open to seniors who have participated in two sports for at least two years in each sport. Applicants must have a B+ average, be ranked in the top 25% of their class or score a 24 on the ACT/1100 on the SAT. FEB. 8: RENO RODEO FOUNDATION SCHOLARSHIP ($1,000 - $2,500)
Open to all seniors from a Northern Nevada high school with a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or better. In addition to the Reno Rodeo Foundation Scholarship, two additional awards in the amount of $2,500 and $1,000 for selected students to support the upcoming academic school year. To be considered applicants must first complete the Reno Rodeo Foundation Scholarship, meeting all the eligibility requirements, answer four additional questions and submit video links to three art samples. FEB. 10: NV ENERGY POWERFUL PARTNERSHIPS SCHOLARSHIP ($1,000)

FEB. 14: APIQETC ($2,500)The Asian Pacific Islander Queer Women & Transgender Community (APIQWTC, pronounced "api-cutesy") offers this scholarship to two Asian/Pacific Islander queer, lesbian, or bisexual women or transgender people each year. The site specifically references technical, professional, and trades education, though they offer it for any tuition-based educational program.

FEB 15: HSF SCHOLAR PROGRAM (AWARDS VARY)

FEB. 23: THE COOLIDGE SCHOLARS (FULL TUITION) Updated 1/22/24
Open to high school JUNIORS who will be attending college in the Fall of 2025. The scholarship will help pay for a student’s tuition, room & board, books, etc. at any American college or university. FEB. 28: ORVILLE BELDING MEMORIAL SCHOLARSHIP ($1,000)
Open to high school seniors who were born and raised in Nevada, are a student athlete, and show a need for financial assistance. Students must have taken either the SAT or ACT and received at least an 1100 (SAT) or 20 (ACT) score. FEB. 28: THE DREAM.US SCHOLARSHIP (UP TO $29,000)

MARCH 1: NACTE (Nevada Assocation for Career and Technical Education) Scholarship ($1,000)
Open to students pursing college or career/technical training programs. Students must be a CTE program completer, graduate with a College and Career Ready (CCR) Diploma, were active in CTSO and/or participated in internships and/or work-based learning opportunities. MARCH 1: PEO MARGUERITE SCHOLARSHIP (UP TO $10,000)
The P.E.O. Sisterhood is an international philanthropic and educational organization that promotes educational opportunities for women through grants, loans and scholarships. P.E.O. Nevada Chapter Q awards three Marguerite Scholarships each year to qualified high school senior women in the Reno/Sparks area. Marguerite Scholarships award $2,500 each year during which the recipient attends an accredited post-secondary educational institution and maintains an acceptable GPA. The maximum award will be $10,000 during the woman’s 4 years of undergraduate study. Student Criteria for Eligibility is a woman who will be eligible to graduate from her secondary school following the spring semester of this application process. Open to graduating seniors in a Washoe County High School who will attend teaching and/or geriatric programs through a community or junior college, private school, or accredited college of a university, in or outside of Nevada. Must have a minimum high school GPA of 3.0, have a minimum 1050 SAT or 18 ACT and agree to maintain a minimum 2.5 grade point average and provide a copy of your unofficial transcripts at the end of each semester you are receiving a scholarship. MARCH 1: ROBERT AND JUDY DREILING SCHOLARSHIP ($5,000)
Open to graduating seniors or students who have received a high school diploma or a high school equivalency certificate. The ideal candidates will be enrolled in an Associate's Degree track or certificate program at the school of their choice; the degree track or certificate program should result in a good lead to a good job. This scholarship has the potential to be renewed with reapplication.

MARCH 1: THE GALLERY COLLECTION CREATE-A-GREETING-CARD SCHOLARSHIP ($10,000)
Open to 14 years or older at time of entry and be enrolled in high school, college, university or homeschool. Submit original photo, artwork or computer graphics for the front of a greeting card. The applicant with the winning entry will receive a cash scholarship of $10,000 plus a $1,000 prize for their school. Click here for more information and to apply.
MARCH 1: GIAR GRANDMOTHER'S FIRST-GENERATION SCHOLARSHIP ($5,000)
The scholarship funds the undergraduate or graduate college education of first-generation young women of Portuguese, Mexican, Central American or South American ancestry, under the age of 25. The term first-generation is defined here as a young woman who has immigrated to the United States of America and become a naturalized citizen or the daughter of an immigrant of Portuguese, Mexican, Central American and South American Ancestry. The student must be a resident of Nevada or Hawaii. MARCH 4: PROJECT 150 (NEVADA COLLEGES ONLY UP TO $4000)
This program is open to all high school seniors and current college students who would like to apply for financial assistance to attend any of Nevada's higher education institutions including ANY accredited vocational training institute. MARCH 11: LATHROP & CAPURRO MEMORIAL INTERNSHIP PROGRAM IN WILDLIFE MANAGEMENT
Open to High School Seniors with a minimum 2.5G PA their Junior and Senior year who are intending to pursue an undergraduate degree in wildlife management, biology, ecology, or a closely related field. MARCH 11: JIFFY LUBE "WHAT DRIVES YOU" SCHOLARSHIP ($3,000)

MARCH 18: RENO ELKS LODGE SCHOLARSHIP ($1,500)
Open to students who have an “A” in US History. They must write two short essays…one on their college goals and the other one on what does the US Flag mean to them. MARCH 29: NSEA'S LORETTA HARPER REACH FOR THE STARS SCHOLARSHIP ($2,000)
Open to graduating seniors in a Nevada public high school enrolled to attend a four-year university, community college or technical school. MARCH 29: NSEA'S CHUCK FLETCHER REACH FOR THE STARS SCHOLARSHIP ($2,000)

MARCH 29: GREATER NEVADA CREDIT UNION SCHOLARSHIP ($2,000)
Open to students who are a member of GNCU or whose parents or legal guardians are members. Thirty-two $2,000 scholarships are awarded, based primarily on the financial need of the applicant. Additional criteria will include academic performance, school and community involvement, and written recommendations from school and community leaders. Recipients must plan on attending a university, college, community/junior college, or an accredited trade or vocational school. MARCH 31: BUDDHIST TZU CHI FOUNDATION SCHOLARSHIP ($1,500)

MARCH 31: OPERATING ENGINEERS LOCAL 3 SCHOLARSHIPS ($1,000 TO $10,000)

APRIL 1: PHIL AND JENNIFER SATRE MEDICAL EDUCATION SCHOLARSHIP ($1,000 - $5,000)
Open to high school seniors whose parents are an employee of a Nevada Caesars property and have a minimum 3.2 GPA. Click here for more information and to apply.
APRIL 1: NEVADA AIR NATIONAL GUARD SCHOLARSHIP (AWARDS VARY)
Open to active enlisted members of the Nevada Air National Guard or the dependent of an active member. Applicants must be enrolled full-time at the University of Nevada, Reno in a program leading to a 4-year degree and must maintain passing grades in all courses. For high school applicants who are graduating seniors, a minimum GPA requirement of 3.0 must be met.
APRIL 1: THE FINCHUM FAMILY SCHOLARSHIP ($1,000)
The Finchum Family Scholarship is designed to support students who are graduates of northern Nevada high schools or who have received their high school equivalency/GED in Nevada, and plan to attend or are currently attending a trade or vocational school, community college, or 2- or 4- year institution in Nevada. Preference will be given to non-traditional students who demonstrate significant financial need. Must have a minimum GPA of 3.0. APRIL 3: CLAUDINE WILLIAMS HARRAH'S LAS VEGAS EMPLOYEE SCHOLARSHIP (VARIES)
Open to students whose parents are an employee of the original Harrah's Las Vegas Property for 3 consecutive years. Students must have minimum 2.75 GPA and have scored at least 1000 (SAT) or 20 (ACT). Click here for more information and to apply.
APRIL 3: THE DON CARANO LEGACY SCHOLARSHIP ($5,000)
Open to dependents of Caesars Entertainment Team Members who are graduating high school and enrolled in a college or advanced learning program. Awards will be a fixed amount of $5,000. Recipients may reapply for up to three additional years. Must have a minimum 2.75 GPA and keep a 2.5 GPA while in school. APRIL 3: NEVADA CATTLEMEN ASSOCIATION SCHOLARSHIP ($1,500) and NCA Marvel/Andrae Scholarship ($2,500)
The NCA Scholarship will be awarded to a first-year college student beginning to pursue an education within the agricultural industry.
Eligibility & application requirements for the NCA Scholarship include: must be a senior graduating from a Nevada High School, will attend a Community College or a 4-year College or University, is seeking a degree in an agricultural related field and have at least a 2.5 GPA. Applicants will need to provide a copy of official transcripts and submit a cover letter describing themselves and how their future plans tie into the future of the cattle industry. APRIL 3: WALT LEBERSKI MEMORIAL SCHOLARSHIP ($5,000) Nevada Cattlemen Association
Open to graduating seniors attending a Nevada high school pursing a degree/certificate in an agriculture related field at a community college, 4-year university or trade school. Applicant must have at least a 2.8 GPA. Applicants must submit a transcript and cover letter describing themselves and how this scholarship would benefit them. APRIL 15: MARY J. YAMAMOTO MEMORIAL SCHOLARSHIP ($5,000)
Open to young women who are graduating high school seniors from Washoe County, Nevada, who will be attending accredited colleges, universities, or trade schools to obtain and 2 or 4-year degree or certificate. Applicants must be seeking a certification, associate degree, or bachelor’s degree at an accredited institution; have a minimum GPA of 2.5; have a minimum SAT score of 1000 and/or ACT score of 22; be a U.S. citizen; and agree to maintain a minimum 2.5 GPA and submit an unofficial copy of transcripts at the end of each semester they are receiving an award. This scholarship is open to lesbian women at any college education level, from those about to finish high school through graduate school students. You must answer three essay questions, have a letter of recommendation, and supply your most recent transcripts, though GPAs aren't considered. In addition, you must have a proven track record of improving the lives of LGBTQ+ people, community service, leadership, and academic achievement. APRIL 15: LEAGUE FOUNDATION (one application works for multiple scholarships with multiple awards)
Open to members of the LGBTQ+ community who are about to graduate from high school. You must plan to attend an accredited vocational school or college, have a 3.0 or better GPA, and submit two essays and two letters of recommendation. The more leadership roles played in the LGBTQ+ community, the better. The scholarships include the Laurel Hester Memorial Scholarship, the Matthew Shepard Memorial Scholarship, the Tyler Clementi Memorial Scholarship, and the LEAGUE Foundation Scholarships. Open to youth who are or have been in foster care (never legally adopted or expected to be legally adopted) in the State of Nevada and who have received a high school diploma and desire to earnestly pursue high education with at least a 3.0 GPA. Additionally, applicants must have no other significant financial means or other significant financial assistance to pursue their education. Preference will be given to full-time students; funds may be used for vocational or other specialized training and covers tuition, books, and fees for awardees.
