Students who have questions about the program and/or class(es) that they should sign up for can contact their counselor. Incoming students can reach out to the counselor assigned to work with them based on their last names. Incoming academy students should contact the assigned academy counselor.

Jump Start Information (Incoming 9th Grade Only)

Jump Start is an opportunity for incoming Reed Raiders to earn a 1/2 elective credit before they even start high school. The Jump Start Program will involve Math, English, and SEL/High School Study Skills instruction.
The program will run from June 8th-24th and students will attend classes in person at Reed High School from 8am-1pm each day. Food and transportation will be offered to Jump Start students.
Incoming 9th Credit Accrual Options

Incoming 9th-grade students who want to accrue credits before entering high school are limited to the following options via the Edgenuity online platform:
- Computer Science and Applications (1/2 credit) - satisfies 1/2-credit Computer Science graduation requirement
- Health (1/2 credit) - satisfies 1/2-credit Health graduation requirement
- PE 1 (1/2 credit) - satifisies some of the 2-credit PE graduation requirement
- PE 2 (1/2 credit) - satisfies some of the 2-credit PE graduation requirement
Students can enroll in a maximum of 2 classes, or 1 credit, in the summer before starting high school.
Students enrolled in Edgenuity classes will participate virtually starting June 8th. They will be connected to a Reed teacher for support throughout the course. Daily support will be available Monday-Friday from June 8th-24th. After that, teachers will be available on a more limited basis.

Credit Recovery or Accrual for Current 9th-12th Grade Students

Current 9th-12th grade Reed students who want to recover and/or accrue credit can do so through Reed's in-person and/or online options via Edgenuity.
In-person classes will be offered for credit recovery only in the following subject-areas:
- Math
- English
- Science
- Social Studies
- Health
Online options via Edgenuity are available for both credit recovery and accrual, though some accrual is limited in core subjects.
Though students are limited to taking one in-person class, students can take up to two classes (one in-person/one online or two online classes) during the summer intersession.
Each class offered is worth 1/2 credit.
In-person classes will run from 8am-noon June 8th through 24th at Reed High School. Transportation and food will not be provided.
