Angel Base-Mrs. Lundy (ELA/Social Studies/Math/Science)
Please reach out with questions at firstname.lastname@example.org
Checking Infinite Campus will help to ensure your student is staying on track. Please check out the Angel Base planner as I attach our daily schedule as well as the homework for the week. Please note, some assignments may take longer to complete and may create a few shifts in the schedule. If your child is absent, please look at the weekly calendar attachment in the Angel Base Planner on our 6th grade website as well as Infinite Campus to have him/her ask for specific assignments needing to complete upon return. Assessments are worth 85% of the student's overall grade. When students are absent, they are missing important information. Please notify the office if your student will be missing school for any reason.
What's happening in Quarter 2?
ELA: Class novel-The Westing Game. We are working on building comprehension in longer books and understanding literary elements. We are also learning about plot, figurative and sensory language, point of view, and theme. Applying what we are learning to write a narrative piece using these elements. Studying Greek and Latin roots to develop vocabulary and improve spelling. December 15th Accelerated Reader quiz is due from AR book being read nightly for homework. The AR contract must be signed before the student can take the quiz. Once a quiz is completed, it is the responsibility of the student to check in and check out a new book to read from our library. Students MUST read 25 minutes per night and fill out the assigned reading log.
