Posted by Tanya Harrell on 12/16/2020
For 2020, STEM & Buds hosted four online, cost-free summer camps for students grades 6-8 to create an individualized STEM project with a high school mentor. At the beginning of each week-long session, students engaged in exploratory lessons, activities, and challenges covering psycology, engineering, computer science, math, biology, and chemistry. For the remainder of the camp, each student was paired with a volunteer mentor to brainstorm, design, and execute their own STEM research project for the end-of-program virtual science fair.
