Color Guard
Color Guard teams are administered by the Battalion Command Sergeant Major. Each class period (Company) has a minimum of two teams. Teams can vary from four members to six, but the main goal of Color Guard is to train cadets to be proficient in drill and ceremony in order to present the national and state colors at school sports events and various other community events.

Honor Guard
The Honor Guard is a prodigious team of cadets who provide a ceremonious saber arch at special school and community events. Membership can be by recommendation, invitation and all members are extremely proficient in drill and saber movements. This team is commanded by the Command Sergeant Major and marches in parades.

Lancer Guard Drill Team
This is the armed drill team that represents McQueen in district competitions. These cadets are not only proficient in marching and drilling with rifles, but also in spinning them. During parades, this team also marches in formation. The rifles they carry are 8 lb. Springfield Rifles.

Lancer Knights Drill Team
This is the unarmed drill team that represents McQueen in district competitions. These cadets are extremely proficient in marching and drill, so much so that they make up for their lack of rifles. They march in extremely elaborate formations that require immense practice and coordination. During parades, this team also marches in formation.

Competition Color Guard
As the name suggests, this elite Color Guard team is exclusively a drill team Color Guard. They perform at competitions across the district and consist of only the best Color Guard members in the entire Battalion. Membership is exclusive to invitation and is personally monitored by 1SG Curran. This Color Guard team leads the Battalion in parades.

JLAB
The JROTC Leadership and Academic Bowl team is personally administered by the Academic Officer. JLAB actually consisted of two teams: the Leadership team and the Academic team. Members are scholars and are extremely proficient in academics. Teams are handpicked by the instructors and the Academic Officer, and membership is usually reserved for those with 3.5 GPA's or above. The JLAB teams compete in district events and the JLAB nation-wide competition.

Security Team
This team is personally administered by the S2 (Battalion Security Officer). This team wears the ACU (Army Combat Uniform) and provides a safe environment during home football games. In addition, they also provide road guards to regulate parking and traffic flow during other school events. Membership is open to everyone and this team is seasonal, only being active in the first semester.
